Leigh McEwan is a San Francisco writer who is currently working on her second manuscript, while the first is looking about itself rather like a newborn, hoping for an agent.

Hugh Kingsley is Leigh’s lovely assistant – a layabout, a backslider, and a ne’er-do-well, easily the more entertaining of the two, but also lazy, slipshod, and badly in need of editing at all times.

Leigh studied poetry, fiction and philosophy at Dominican University of California, and attended University of Notre Dame’s creative writing workshop, where she taught upper division creative writing.  She has studied with Rosalie Moore Brown, Valerie Sayers, and Seamus Deane, and has subsequently run several poetry and fiction workshops.

A recent escapee from 10 years in the corporate salt mines, Leigh currently works as a freelance writer and editor, and when not entirely broke, as a freelance food critic.

Also, 2 for 2 with NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), which is like Christmas morning for the entire month of November.

  1. Nonsense, Woman. I am never in need of editing. But the rest is a fair cop.
